The Amazing Grace of God

 

     Like a father who stoops to pick up his child when she skins her knee, God is constantly on the lookout, ready to rescue His beloved – us. Scripture says that He bends down from Heaven to deal in the affairs of humankind, lifting us up when we’re on the ash heap of life. He not only lifts us up from the dirt, He sets us in places of healing and favor, where our heart is strengthened and our spirit renewed.

 

   Though we may not always be aware of it, God’s grace is poured out on our lives day after day. It marks our steps and directs our course. Because of His goodness, we can never escape His notice- not even if we try.

  

“…Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high, who looks far down on the heavens and the earth? He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people.”
